thanks for the comment. i really fail to see your point though. so you reckon that the public is dumber than all people in power? try explaining that to anyone who lives in zimbabwe. any member of their public would be a better president than the current person in charge - didn't swear there, see.

you think i don't support south african teams when they aren't winning? you obviously didn't read enough.

if you think that norman arendse was good for south african cricket, then you obviously don't know much about the state of our cricket. how did putting vernon philander ahead of kallis in the sa squad for the 20 20 do philander any good? or south african cricket?

and if you seriously think that jacques kallis - who will become the leading all rounder in world cricket in the Australian series - didn't deserve a selection for that tournament, then i don't think you merit a cricket conversation

I think you are a know it all. DO you really think that someone who is the chairman of the bar in south africa takes his decisions with a pinch of salt? Maybe Jacque Kallis was just mean to him on that day huh? Or maybe the focus is on the improvement of our South African cricket team and not just giving our established players a chance to show everyone how mighty they are....Jacque Kallis and Andre Nel were also once given a chance above someone else.
It still surprises me in this day and age where knowledge is power that people so fervently believe that they know better than those in positions of authority. But then again this is the problem with South Africa in general, while the Americans jump at any oppurtunity to sing the Star Spangled Banner, while we mock the Australians and their arrogance, we thrive on any oppurtunity to bash on our officails, our South African heroes and our national teams. Although I am a very proud South African, every loss we encounter makes me feel some sense of justice has been done when people like you are not rewarded for your ignorance and lack of patriotism.
It is SO easy to stand back and belittle and berate those who are losing, but how about we grow some balls and support our fellow South African through more than just the wins.
P.S just because you can curse, does not make your points any more valid.

I agree - Kanko must start. Someone must also teach Spies how to pass. The momentum he builds up with his strength and speed is all wasted if he goes to ground with the ball every time. Blog on, Dude!

Nah - if anyone deserves that number 3 spot, it's Garvey. Visagie was only ever rated in Cape Town and never anywhere else.

That's a pretty good side. Can we add some replacements?

16 James Dalton
17 Ollie le Roux
18 Bakkies Botha
19 Luke Watson (ha ha! kidding! Rassie Erasmus)
20 Fourie du Preez
21 Frans Steyn
22 Breyton Paulse

This is a little late but...

there are a only handful of guys who could adapt to the modern game.
I would have
Andre Joubert at fullback
Andre Snyman in the 13 jersey
Cobus Visagie or Adrian Garvey at tighthead

other than that.... good side

Very good team, but
one change I need to mention is Cobus Visagie in place of CJ van der Linde.

Note: Breyton Paulse has 17 more Tests and 6 more tries than James Small. But for stopping J.Lomu, James you have my vote.
